Nigeria’s Richest Man Builds Massive Oil Refinery #

Aliko Dangote, Africa’s richest man, has completed the construction of one of the world’s largest oil refineries on the outskirts of Lagos, Nigeria. The $19 billion facility, spanning nearly 4,000 football fields, is expected to produce 650,000 barrels per day once fully operational. Nigeria, one of Africa’s largest oil producers, currently lacks the capability to refine its own oil and relies on imported fuel. Dangote Industries Ltd., a conglomerate also involved in cement, fertilizer, and sugar production, aims to make Nigeria self-sufficient and export petroleum products to other African countries.
